For security

A gate that works at 2am, on one hand

Guards change shift, and some are more comfortable with a keypad than a keyboard. The screens they use are the simplest in the system, and work on the phone in their pocket.

Expected visitors
A code or a name. Check in, and the resident is told.
Walk-ins
Ask the flat from the gate, and wait for the answer on screen rather than on the phone.
Vehicles
Plate in, plate out, with resident vehicles known and visitor parking counted.
Gate passes
Nothing of value leaves without an approval the office gave in advance.
Parcels
Logged at the desk, and the resident told it is waiting.
Daily help and staff
Entry codes, attendance, and who is inside right now.
Patrol rounds
Scan the QR at each checkpoint; misses show up on the console.
SOS
One button. It escalates at two, five and ten minutes until somebody responds.

The desk still decides

The software does not replace the guard's judgement. It removes the paperwork around it, and leaves a record the office can read the next morning.

  • No register to write up by torchlight
  • No ringing a flat that does not answer
  • No argument about who let a van in
  • No lost note about a parcel
  • No guessing which car belongs where
  • No round that cannot be proved
